Will Levis injured in overtime loss to Houston
Less than a week after leading the Tennessee Titans an improbable comeback victory on Monday Night Football, former Kentucky Wildcat Will Levis was trying to will his team to a divisional win. Instead, his offensive line let him down, again.
In overtime against the CJ Stroud-less Houston Texans, Tennessee had the ball near midfield with less than two minutes to play. On third and eight Levis could not keep the drive alive. The porous Titans’ offensive line let Levis get crushed by two Texans.
Before you watch the tape, let me be clear, it’s a pretty gnarly hit. He was down on the ground for quite a while after the play, but was actually able to walk off the field. Fortunately, this appears to be one of those hits that looked much worse than it actually was.
The Titans punted the ball away but could not get a stop. Devin Singletary started the following drive with a 41-yard gain, just what Case Keenum needed. The Texans got close enough for Ka’imi Fairbairn to hit a 54-yard field goal as time expired, avoiding the tie with a 19-16 win.
The Houston win officially eliminated the Titans from playoff contention with three games remaining.

Levis recorded his first career rushing touchdown and finished the day 17-of-26 for 199 passing yards and an interception, his third of the season. The rookie from Kentucky is 3-5 as a starter and he’s completed 58.3% of his passes for eight touchdowns.
Hopefully the late hit will not prevent Levis from receiving some much-needed reps over the final three weeks of the season. Most Titan fans will probably happily take this loss too. The higher the draft pick in April, the better.
Josh Paschal Did Something Awesome
We haven’t heard too much from Josh Paschal over his first two seasons in Detroit. A 3/4 defensive end at Kentucky, the big-bodied athlete has slid down to provide an interior rush in obvious passing situations. He got home Saturday night against the Broncos with his first sack of the season. It was an impressive play, even if Kevin Harlan got his name wrong.
