Will Levis will throw at NFL Scouting Combine

We’ve officially reached NFL Scouting Combine week as the biggest unofficial football convention of the year will take place in Indianapolis. Head coaches and general managers will speak with the media over the next two days before the prospects begin to arrive on Wednesday.
As always, the quarterbacks are the most popular players at this premium pre-draft event that will include interviews, medical exams, and athletic testing. There is some more intrigue this year because there does not appear to be a consensus QB1 at the moment. Will Levis (Kentucky), Bryce Young (Alabama), CJ Stroud (Ohio State), and Anthony Richardson (Florida) are all fighting for spots in the first round with someone expected to emerge as the to No. 1 overall pick once the Chicago Bears trade down from that top spot.
We got some big news on Monday morning when it was reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport that Levis, Richardson, and Stroud will all be throwing at Lucas Oil Field on Saturday. Young will throw at Alabama’s pro day.
This is somewhat of a rarity since a popular move is to wait until pro day when prospects can control the environment. In Indianapolis, Levis will likely be throwing to receivers he’s not familiar with which could cause some timing issues. However, this move might be needed to catch Young.

Over the last week or so, the former five-star recruit out of Metro Los Angeles appears to be the favorite to be the first quarterback taken despite some size concerns. Both Levis and Stroud could be using this opportunity at the Combine to gain ground on Young. Meanwhile, Richardson is going all-in by also going through the full athletic testing in Indianapolis. Those results figure to be strong as the former four-star recruit has size and skills that will be hard for other prospects to match. However, his inconsistent film and lack of experience could be the reason for the all-in move as organizations may need to see more to become believers.
KSR will be on-site in Indianapolis this week to provide full coverage of the Combine. Follow along for updates as Will Levis looks to strengthen his draft hopes as there is a great chance the two-year starter can become a top-five pick in April.
