Will Levis set a ton of records in his NFL debut
Will Levis has been waiting patiently for his turn in the NFL ever since he left Kentucky. From the draft day green room to the team depth chart, Levis has been passed over quite a bit in a short period of time. His patience paid off in a big way on Sunday and now he is the one doing the passing. He shattered everyone’s expectations when he started for the Tennessee Titans in place of injured starting quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, and set all of the records. All of them.
He became the first and only quarterback in NFL history to throw for four touchdowns, zero interceptions, and at least 225 yards with more than a 65 percent completion percentage. Only four other players have ever had five touchdown passes in their debut.
In terms of Kentucky quarterbacks who came before him, the last former Wildcat to throw four touchdowns was George Blanda back in 1964. Not even the great Tim Couch accomplished that feat, though he did throw three touchdowns in a game five different times.
Compared to current Titan teammates, Ryan Tannehill had only thrown two touchdowns all season. Will Levis threw four in a single game.

Stacked up next to every other rookie quarterback this season, only one other player has a game with three touchdowns, and Bryce Young just did that just once.
His 130.5 QB rating was the highest for a rookie in their debut since Mac Jones for the Patriots in 2021.
It is also important to note that he did have this monster performance against a Falcons defense that entered the day ranked inside the top 10 in scoring defense (9th), passing defense (7th), and total defense (3rd).
Have a day, Mr. Levis. Well deserved.
