WATCH: Will Levis receives NFL Draft call from Tennessee Titans
Kentucky quarterback Will Levis did not get the NFL Draft moment he was hoping for on Thursday night. The redshirt senior who many thought would be a first-round pick slipped all the way into the second round on Friday.
Levis and his camp then decided to depart for Connecticut instead of sticking around for Day 2 in Nashville. However, the Kentucky product did not have to wait long to hear his name called after the Tennessee Titans traded up to grab the high upside prospect at No. 33 overall.
Levis is entering a great situation in the AFC South. The Titans have a lot of roster holes on offense, but general manager Ran Carthon added the safest offensive line prospect in this draft during the first round and added a talented quarterback who will be able to compete for QB1 honors during his rookie season.
The Titans took fans behind the scenes on Friday night when they aired the official call to Levis to inform the quarterback that he would be the No. 33 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

“You got a lot of support around ya and the reason that you’re here is because of them. Thank them, enjoy this. Use this as a heck of an opportunity,” Titans head coach Mike Vrabel told Levis.
The Kentucky product will now relocate to Nashville where he’ll be playing in the same division as C.J. Stroud (Houston Texans) and Anthony Richardson (Houston Texans). Expect the story of the 2023 NFL Draft to follow each of these quarterbacks as they all face each other multiple times per season to begin their professional football journeys. Will Levis should get a chance to prove himself against his draft peers early and often as an NFL quarterback.
