Will Levis explains why he put mayonnaise in his coffee
Today, we finally got an answer to a question we’ve been asking since Friday: why did Will Levis drink coffee with mayonnaise in it? During an appearance on Kentucky Sports Radio, Kentucky’s starting quarterback shared the story behind the viral TikTok video. According to Levis, his girlfriend (jokingly) came up with the idea.
“I was just out to breakfast at Josie’s with my girlfriend on that Friday and I think I just looked over and I was wondering why there was mayonnaise on the table and kind of forgetting that even I put mayonnaise on my egg sandwiches sometimes. She was like, ‘Yeah, maybe some people put it in their coffee,’ like joking. I said, ‘Oh, maybe I should do that.'”

In the video, Levis appears to just sip the disgusting drink, leading to speculation it didn’t go further than his lips. He shot that down real fast.
“Oh, I did drink it. I definitely drank it. I can confirm that.”
Kentucky broke a 35-year home losing streak to Florida the day after Levis consumed the mayonnaise coffee. With a 6-0 start on the line Saturday, should we expect another quirky food or drink video in the coming days?
“We’ll see. It’s not something I plan out. It’s just spur of the moment stuff.”
