The Early Signing Period has ended as Kentucky has officially added 17 high school seniors to their 2023 roster. But the recruiting in the class of 2023 is not done yet.

Most notably, everyone is waiting to see what happens with high three-star tailback Jamarion Wilcox as the Cats are considered the favorites but no decision came in December. That means the Douglasville (Ga.) South Paulding tailback will have to wait until February to sign. However, there is another high three-star prospect that Kentucky is also pursuing.

William “Woo” Spencer dropped his finalists on Christmas and the Wildcats made the cut along with Louisville, Michigan State, and Mississippi State.

The New Albany (Ind.) Senior prospect spent his first three years in high school at Louisville (Ky.) Male before leaving the state. At 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds, Spencer starred on the defensive line but some schools believe he can make the transition to offensive guard at the next level.

Kentucky has hosted the prospect for unofficial visits multiple times and will now be looking to close with Vince Marrow leading the recruitment. Spencer is a member of Aspirations Gym with trainer Chris Vaughn. Aspirations has produced multiple Power Five prospects over the years with many signing with Kentucky.

Will the Cats add another local player to its 2023 class? We will find out soon.
