UPDATE: The BBN's favorite shoe company, True Blue Customs, were the masterminds behind Cauley-Stein's latest personalized kicks. The company released more images of the shoes, which revealed the heartwarming story behind the shoes, other than Willie's love for the Wildcats.
Cauley-Stein actually wore the shoes in honor of Blake Hundley, a huge Kentucky fan who lost his battle to cancer after the Cats' 2014-15 tournament run. The nine year old became close friends with Cauley-Stein after they met during Hudley's chemotherapy treatments. The duo formed a close bond, and Cauley-Stein even has a few tattoos in his friend's honor.

Here's another look at the shoes, from @TrueBlueCustoms on Instagram:
Again, just an awesome story.
Willie Cauley-Stein has brought out some awesome new shoes for March Madness, and they honor his collegiate team. The former Cat is known for his (sometimes-questionable) fashion choices, but these are pretty sweet.
The Sacramento Kings tweeted the pictures, saying "Still dancin' #BBN"
Nicely done, Willie. You've come a long way, my friend:
