Wisconsin forward Carter McCray has received interest from Kentucky WBB

The season just came to a close for Kenny Brooks‘ program, but he and the staff are already at work trying to assemble next year’s roster. The first potential portal get? Wisconsin’s Carter McCray.
Multiple sources confirmed to KSR that the 6-foot-1 sophomore forward has received interest from Kentucky.
Additionally, On3’s Talia Goodman has reported that McCray has received interest from the likes of Cal, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Virginia, Clemson, Miami, Pittsburgh, Mississippi State, Florida, Oklahoma State, Utah, Alabama and BYU.
McCray averaged 10.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game this past season for the Badgers. She was previously at Northern Kentucky, where she put up 15.7 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. She is a traditional post, doing all of her damage down low. In fact, she didn’t attempt a single three this year.
It seems that Brooks and the staff may be looking for someone who excels at being a physical presence in the paint. Maybe she would be more of a situational piece at Kentucky — plugging her in when you know you need a bucket or a big rebound.

Regardless, it’ll be interesting to see how much steam this recruitment picks up over the course of the coming weeks.
