Woman arrested outside John Calipari's home, charged with trespassing
A woman has been arrested outside of John Calipari’s home in Lexington after allegedly trying to gain entry into the property.
University of Kentucky police charged the woman with criminal trespassing and six counts of theft by deception. Police told reporters on the scene that the woman had stolen credit cards from around the country and the theft charges do not involve Calipari or his family.
“UK Police Department (UKPD) and Lexington PD were called to the home of UK men’s basketball head coach John Calipari earlier today,” UK Chief Communications Officer Jay Blanton told KSR. “A woman was arrested outside the home and charged with criminal trespassing and theft of a credit card. The woman was looking for someone who does not live at the residence and the incident is not related to Calipari or his family. No other information is available at this time.
According to the Kentucky Kernel, UKPD and Lexington Police Department responded to the incident around 11 a.m. ET, with three police vehicles later parking outside Calipari’s home shortly after 11:30.

University of Kentucky Police Chief Joe Monroe told the Kernel that the woman was looking for someone who does not live at the residence and may be undergoing mental evaluations.
As for the Calipari family, it was news to at least one member, with Erin Calipari finding out about the arrest on social media.
The UK head coach was not in town at the time of the incident.
