Until we find a replacement for Bryan The Intern (you'd be surprised at how hard it is to find someone so unlikable), the 9:00 AM post is up to me, I suppose. So in my inaugural BTI time slot, I'm going to do it as only BTI could -- hit you right square in the face with a fist full of statistics. Today, we'll look at Marquis Teague and how he stacks up to Calipari's last two point guards at Kentucky. Turnovers have been a problem for Teague early on, but it might surprise you how he compares to John Wall and Brandon Knight in that category through the first four games: ------------------------------ John Wall Game 1: 19 points, 5 assists, 5 turnovers Game 2: 21 points, 6 assists, 6 turnovers Game 3: 21 points, 11 assists, 2 turnovers Game 4: 15 points, 6 assists, 5 turnovers 19 PPG, 28 Assists, 18 Turnovers Brandon Knight Game 1: 17 points, 5 assists, 2 turnovers Game 2: 21 points, 1 assists, 3 turnovers Game 3: 13 points, 3 assists, 5 turnovers Game 4: 24 points, 0 assists, 8 turnovers 18.75 PPG, 9 Assists, 18 Turnovers Marquis Teague Game 1: 16 points, 4 assists, 3 turnovers Game 2: 12 points, 3 assists, 6 turnovers Game 3: 9 points, 2 assists, 3 turnovers Game 4: 6 points, 2 assists, 6 turnovers 10.75 PPG, 11 Assists, 18 Turnovers ------------------------------ Through four games, all three players had a total of 18 turnovers. Teague is behind in points but that's because he is surrounded by scoring weapons, while Wall and Knight were both relied on to score points. So don't hit the panic but yet. Mookie is going to be aight.
