Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is arguably the best basketball player on the planet today. Maybe that’s part of why “the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be”, WWE Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart, is a big fan of the former Kentucky guard.

How big of a fan could he be? Well, Hart clearly likes SGA enough to don a SLAM cover tee of the Oklahoma City Thunder star.

Of course, the (most likely) main reason why Hart is such a fan of Gilgeous-Alexander is because they’re both Canadian. Hart hails from Calgary, while SGA is originally from Toronto.

Both are very accomplished in what they do. Hart is one of the best technical wrestlers ever — you don’t just become a five-time WWF Champion and two-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion for no reason. As for Gilgeous-Alexander, he’s a three-time NBA All-Star and one-time NBA Scoring Champion.

This past NBA season, Gilgeous-Alexander captained the Thunder to an NBA Championship, securing the Western Conference Finals MVP and NBA Finals MVP along the way. In the finals, he averaged 30.3 points, 5.6 assists, 4.6 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.6 blocks per game.

It’s not too hard to see why Hart likes SGA as much as he does.
