Big Z is jumping back in the portal after one season in Fayetteville. Zvonimir Ivisic, who started his career at Kentucky before transferring to Arkansas following John Calipari’s departure, will explore his options for a third consecutive offseason.

After averaging 8.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest as a sophomore, Ivisic has returned to the portal and immediately becomes one of the more intriguing frontcourt names available this cycle.

On3’s Joe Tipton had the scoop.

Ivisic had 16 games of double figures, including three scoring 20-plus — highlighted by a 27-point, seven-rebound, three-block, three-steal effort against Alabama back in February. He finished the season, though, combining for just two points in four games, fitting considering his rollercoaster-ride of a role in Fayetteville with eight games of single-digit minutes played.

He averaged 5.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 11.7 minutes per contest as a freshman at Kentucky.

Could Big Z find his way back to Lexington with an obvious fit under Mark Pope in terms of playing style? He was certainly a fan favorite in blue and white. How about joining his brother, Tomislav, at Illinois with Orlando Antigua? That seems like a layup, too. Either way, Ivisic will have plenty of options in the portal as he looks for a fresh start with a new coaching staff as a junior.
