2025 NCAA Baseball Tournament Bracket: Updated Super Regional matchups, scores

LSU jumped on West Virginia in Game 1 of the Super Regional series on Saturday afternoon with a 16-9 win, needing just one more win to get to the College World Series next weekend. The teams will meet in Game 2 of the series at 5 p.m. CT Sunday in a contest that will be broadcast on the LSU Sports Radio Network and televised on ESPN2.

On3’s Steve Samra looked at the updated tournament bracket and gave the breakdown on each super regional series to this point. Here’s his rundown:

2025 NCAA Baseball Super Regionals

Louisville Super Regional: Louisville vs. Miami

Game 1: Louisville 8, Miami 1

After a pair of weather delays, Louisville eventually ran away with an 8-1 victory on Miami in Game 1 of the Louisville Super Regional. The Cardinals took an early lead and never looked back, rattling off five runs in the third inning alone. Jake Munroe was the Cardinals’ star, hitting back-to-back home runs for a game-high five RBIs.

Game 2: Miami 9, Louisville 6

Miami struck first in the bottom of the 2nd as Michael Torres drove in a run. Then, Louisville responded in the top of the third with three runs, including a two-run home run from Eddie King Jr. Jake Munroe added a solo shot in the 4th to go up 4-1. Miami took the lead back 5-4 in the bottom of the 4th, which included a Jake Ogden three-run home run. King Jr. then blasted another home run to tie it 5-5 in the top of the 7th. In the bottom half, Gonzalez drove in a run to give Miami a 6-5 lead. The ‘Canes added three more for good measure in the 8th to build themselves a cushion and ultimately force Game 3.

Corvallis Super Regional: No. 8 Oregon State vs. No. 9 Florida State

Game 1: Oregon State 5, Florida State 4

On Friday, Oregon State clawed its way to a 5-4 victory in the 10th inning against Florida State. The Beavers entered the bottom of the ninth inning down 4-1. However, they never relented, and ultimately tied the game at four runs when Jacob Krieg hit a single to left field. Oregon State didn’t lose any of its momentum in extra innings, quickly scoring when given the chance to win the game.

Game 2: Florida State 3, Oregon State 1

Florida State forced a game three in the Corvallis Super Regional with a 3-1 win over Oregon State Saturday night. The Beavers dinged FSU superstar left-handed pitcher Jamie Arnold for a run in the first inning, but were held scoreless over the final eight innings. Arnold threw 113 pitches in 6 ⅔ innings, where he allowed six hits and one earned run with nine strikeouts. The Seminoles tied the game in the bottom of the third with a Max Williams RBI-single and tacked on two more runs with a seventh inning Gage Harrelson RBI-single and an eighth inning bases loaded drawn walk by Jaxson West. It now all comes down to the Super Regional Final, where a Seminole win would mark back-to-back College World Series appearances for FSU and an Oregon State win would mark its first Omaha trip since 2018.

Chapel Hill Super Regional: No. 5 North Carolina vs. Arizona

Game 1: North Carolina 18, Arizona 2

Arizona got on the board first with a run in the top of the first inning, but North Carolina piled it on after that. The Tar Heels would score five in the bottom of the first, and that was only a small taste of what was to come, as they’d reach 18 by the end of the afternoon. Jake Knapp shoved on the mound, going seven innings and allowing two runs on nine hits. The Wildcats will need a much, much better effort to stave off elimination on Saturday.

Game 2: Arizona 10, North Carolina 8

Arizona bit back on Saturday. The Wildcats got the wind knocked out of their sails on Friday, as the Tar Heels offense exploded, but Arizona is here for a reason, and they proved it in the second game of this series. It wasn’t easy, as both teams traded blows inning after inning, but it was the Wildcats who prevailed in the end by two runs. Leading the way with three RBIs was Maddox Mihalakis. Now, it’ll all come down to Game 3 on Sunday, as these two teams battle for a chance to get to the College World Series.

Auburn Super Regional: No. 4 Auburn vs. No. 13 Coastal Carolina

Game 1: Coastal Carolina def. Auburn, 7-6

Coastal Carolina won a 10-inning game which lasted late into the night thanks to a weather delay midway through the contest. The Tigers mounted a late comeback after play resumed, but was unable to close the deal after forcing extra innings. In the end, a Caden Bodine home run in the top of the 10th put the Chanticleers one win away from the College World Series.

Game 2: Coastal Carolina 4, Auburn 1 – Coastal Carolina wins Auburn Regional

The Chanticleers, now riding a 23-game winning streak, are headed back to the College World Series for the first time since 2016 after sweeping the Auburn Super Regional. Auburn jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on Saturday, but Coastal outscored the Tigers 4-0 over the final three innings to take the win and Super Regional. The SEC, which had 13 teams make the NCAA Tournament, is now down to just three teams in the field (LSU, Arkansas and Tennessee) and can get just two teams to Omaha with the Razorbacks and Volunteers playing each other.

Fayetteville Super Regional: No. 3 Arkansas vs. No. 14 Tennessee

Game 1: Arkansas 4, Tennessee 3

If emotions are what you want at this stage of the NCAA Tournament, the Fayetteville Super Regional is the place to be. Arkansas emerged victorious in the all-important Game 1 of the Super Regional, 4-3. Zach Root, despite going on an NSFW rant, was brilliant for seven innings. The Hogs are now one win away from getting back to Omaha, taking down an SEC opponent along the way.

Baton Rouge Super Regional: No. 6 LSU vs. West Virginia

Game 1: LSU 16, West Virginia 9

An offensive explosion occurred Saturday on Baton Rouge, as both LSU and West Virginia put up big numbers. Weirdly enough, the Mountaineers put up more hits than the Tigers 11-8. LSU was able to draw a good chunk of walks and was even hit by six pitches. An unusual way to put runs on the board but head coach Jay Johnson will take it. Now, the Tigers are one win away from getting back to the College World Series.

Durham Super Regional: Murray State vs. Duke

Game 1: Duke 7, Murray State 4

Duke is one win away from advancing to Omaha after taking care of business against Murray State on Saturday. The Blue Devils found themselves trailing 2-0 early but scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the third to tie the game up. They followed that up with a three-run fourth inning after Kyle Johnson got the things started in the inning with a two-RBI double. That put Duke in front for good as Owen Proksch secure the win at pitcher with seven strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work.

Los Angeles Super Regional: No. 15 UCLA vs. UTSA

Game 1: UCLA 5, UTSA 2

The Bruins won Game 1 on Saturday and find themselves one more victory away from Omaha. Although UTSA took an early 2-0 lead, UCLA responded in the third inning to come back with a pair of runs to even the score. It didn’t take long for them to claim the advantage, as Dean West flied out in the fourth to drive in the go ahead run. The Bruins added a pair of insurance runs when Roman Martin tripled in the eighth inning to make a 5-2 game, which would end up being the final score.
