4-star DB CJ Jimcoily reveals "Decision Day" plans

Nashville (Tenn.) 4-star defensive back CJ Jimcoily will reveal his college decision on Thursday, August 8, and Alabama, LSU, Stanford and Tennessee are set to have hats on the table as the finalists.
Jimcoily will have an announcement ceremony around 12:00 p.m. CT from Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, and his college reveal will come by 12:30 p.m. CT, he tells The Bengal Tiger’s Shea Dixon.
With 24 hours until Jimcoily reveals his college choice, LSU holds the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, but all four teams have remained in the mix as each staff pushes for the 4-star prospect’s commitment.
Headed into his decision day, Jimcoily is one of the top five safeties in the 2025 class who remain uncommitted.
“I am counting the days now,” Jimcoily told On3’s Chad Simmons. “My decision is made, it was tough to get there, but I am ready and all that is left is to bring it to the public.”

It took Jimcoily a while to get his list down to four finalists of LSU, Stanford, Alabama and Tennessee, but a string of visits in June helped lead to a month of July when the Jimcoily family mulled over the options before settling on a college choice. over the previous month, he focused on a decision.
“It came down to the wire,” he said. “It took a lot of prayer, I looked in my notebook at the pros and cons of a couple of different schools and it took me some time to make my decision.
“At different times, I had a couple of different leaders. I went back and forth. Two schools really made it tough, and a third came on strong late too. I went over the academics, school, and football side and broke everything down.
“At the end, I had to find which school is the best combination of what I am looking for. I thought very hard about it and I made my decision.”
