2024 Marrero (La.) John Ehret defensive back Wardell Mack named LSU, Florida, Florida State and Texas as his Top 4 schools, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Monday. The On3 Top 20 prospect is pegged to stay in-state with the Tigers, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

“They’ve been here since the beginning of my recruitment and always made me feel at home whenever I stepped foot on campus,” Mack told On3. “Coach BK has made it clear that I’d be a great piece to the Tiger defense & that he sees in the future that I could potentially wear #7 because of how much of a dynamic player he believes I am after watching my film.”

Mack’s first three official visits are in the books, and a fourth is likely to take place in December.

After hitting Florida, Florida State and Texas, Mack plans to officially visit LSU in December. The Tigers also hosted him for their Spring Game.

“They’re always gonna come after me whenever I step out of state lines,” Mack told On3 earlier this year. “Their approach is that the best in Louisiana stay in Louisiana, and they’ve been emphasizing that this is where it’s at.”

Mack ranks as the No. 71 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 7 cornerback and the No. 2 player in the state of Louisiana.

On3 ranks him higher than the industry, as he tabs in as the No. 19 player nationally, the No. 3 cornerback, and the No. 2 player in Louisiana.
