4-star OT Ethan Calloway inks with LSU, set to enroll early

2024 Mooresville (N.C.) Lake Norman offensive tackle Ethan Calloway made it official with LSU, signing with the Tigers. The On300 prospect is now set to enroll in January in Baton Rouge.
Earlier this year, he was in the stands for LSU’s win over Florida.
“Went amazing. Great home win,” Calloway told On3. “Absolutely electric. Not only did the OL have a great game, but Jayden Daniels setting school and FBS records.”
LSU was all over Calloway early on, being the first FBS team to offer. LSU player personnel analyst Carl St. Cyr helped get him an early offer. That’s in part why he committed, that early faith.
Offensive line coach Brad Davis and head coach Brian Kelly both have built strong relationships with him. Davis had a good meeting with the 6-7, 300-pounder on his visit.
“It was awesome. Good to see him in person again instead of over the phone,” Calloway said. “He mainly said that he was proud of my season, and excited to get me on campus.”

Calloway played in the U.S. Army Bowl earlier this month in Frisco, Texas. He has numerous reasons why stayed locked in with the Tigers.
“I’m locked in,” Calloway said earlier this fall. “One, it’s a respect thing. They put all that time and effort into recruiting me. I would hate to just kind of spit in their face and take it all away. One of the main things about my recruitment and why it took me so long to commit was we wanted to make the right decision the first time and I definitely feel like we did that.”
Calloway checks in as the No. 20 offensive tackle prospect in the country and the No. 274 overall recruit on the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
The On3 staff is even higher on him, tabbing him as an On300 prospect and Top 15 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle. He’s On3’s No. 134 overall prospect, No. 12 offensive tackle and No. 4 player in North Carolina.
