4-star QB Julian Sayin sets another LSU visit
2024 Carlsbad (Calif.) quarterback Julian Sayin visited LSU over the summer and will now return this weekend for the game against New Mexico in Tiger Stadium, he said.
LSU’s staff was out in full force to sit down with the four-star prospect in June when he swung through campus.
“I had a great time,” Sayin told The Bengal Tiger. “Meeting with Coach Kelly went very well and his kind of whole message was how they are going to develop me and have the right pieces around me to win. I loved my time with Coach Sloan and sitting down to talk about how they specifically develop QBs. I really liked going over the offense with Coach Denbrock, too. It was my first time meeting him and I enjoyed our time together.
“LSU stands very high with me because of the tradition of LSU, relationship with Coach Kelly, and the talent they are able to have around me, as well as the ability to develop me.”
Quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan has recruited him for a while now and the pair continues to get closer through the process.
“Coach Sloan gives off great energy,” Sayin said. “We’ve been building our relationship for the past couple months now so it was great to get out there and see what LSU had to offer. He was also explaining the atmosphere of Death Valley. I remember him saying if you’re the best, why wouldn’t you want to be on the biggest stage?”
National powers battling for Julian Sayin
Alabama, Georgia and Texas are among the other schools who’ve offered Sayin. He doesn’t have a public favorite, but the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine pegs the Bulldogs as the slight favorite over LSU. The Bulldogs are expected to host him this fall as well.

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college-level athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a specific moment in time.
