4-star WR Dre'lon Miller can do a bit of everything
2024 Silsbee (Tex.) wide receiver Dre’lon Miller is one of the top available wide receivers in America. For his high school team, Miller steps up in every way you can imagine.
“He’s very important. We can move him around from the running back position to inside slot, outside receiver,” Silsbee assistant and Dre’lon’s uncle Donta Miller told On3. “He just does everything. He brings so much attention to him that he actually opens up the field for other receivers on the field.”
The Silsbee coaching staff still sees strides forward from Miller, who is a Top 100 prospect.
“He’s improved tremendously. Speed, physicality, blocking more than anything,” Donta said. “He’s always been able to catch the ball and run the ball, but what we wanted to work on was blocking and helping everybody else out. The blocking side of things has grown tremendously.”
Miller had an unforgettable junior season. He recorded 1,399 yards of total offense, 21 touchdown catches, 361 yards rushing and also made an impact on special teams.

He’s just scratching the surface though.
“It’s high. It’s scary because he’s nowhere near it right now,” Donta said. “We still think just as much as blocking every play or running the ball hard every play, he’s about 75% of what you see. He’s going to get a lot better and the leadership side is going to come out even more.”
LSU, Miami, Texas A&M and USC are the contenders as he’s set to announce on June 29. He kicked off June with a Miami official visit before he took an LSU unofficial visit the second weekend. Then, USC hosted him officially before Texas A&M hosts him unofficially this weekend.
Miller checks in as the No. 76 overall player in the country and No. 14 wide receiver in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
