2023 five-star Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll athlete Nyckoles Harbor is joining the Prospex platform, a marketplace that lets fans purchase, trade, and collect custom trading cards featuring big-time recruiting prospects.

Harbor is still planning to take his recruitment into January and potentially February with National Signing Day. LSU is set to host him in January, but the family is considering Miami and Georgia as well. South Carolina, Michigan, and Maryland have already hosted him on officials.

“Prospex has the potential to totally transform the way NIL works for college athletes – allowing everyday fans to show direct support to the athletes considering their school. Most importantly, it offers athletes an open, transparent way to assess and capture their true NIL value at the schools they are considering,” says Patricia Eiting, one of Prospex’ founders.

Prospex’s NIL platform connects fans and players through the digital sale of a playing card. Players will name up to 10 possible programs, and fans will be able to buy a card of a player and that team

When a player commits and enrolls at that school, fans who bought the card will receive a physical or web3 collectible version of the card. Fans of schools who lost the recruitment battle can turn the card in and receive 90% of their money back.

“The thing that is most exciting for us is what our vision is, which is empowering athletes and fans to own the NIL space in a way that that serves a real need,” Prospex co-founder Patricia Eiting said. “The idea is that it’s this fun and engaging platform that helps athletes determine which schools are really going to step up and support them.”
