5-stars, more hit the sidelines for LSU Spring Game
LSU welcomed in some of the top targets on the recruiting board for Saturday’s annual L-Club Spring Scrimmage.
The visitor list included 5-star quarterback Bryce Underwood and 5-star running back Harlem Berry, who are both committed to the Tigers as part of one of the nation’s top recruiting classes for the 2025 cycle.
5-star wide receiver Kaliq Lockett, the No. 2 wide receiver on the On3 Industry Rankings, was also in attendance and on the sidelines with Underwood and Berry before the game kicked off.
The trio was joined by the nation’s No. 1 interior offensive lineman for the 2026 class in U-High’s Lamar Brown, as well as two talented EDGE rushers with offers from the Tigers in Alabama’s Jared Smith, a Top 50 prospect in the 2025 class, and Indiana’s Damien Shanklin, a Top 100 prospect this cycle.
LSU secondary coach Corey Raymond spent time with 5-star DJ Pickett, who is ranked as the No. 1 cornerback in the 2025 class.

Mississippi State defensive line commit Jeremiah McCloud was among a big group of defensive line recruits invited in by LSU defensive line coach Bo Davis, and the Tigers continue to work towards getting McCloud to reopen his recruitment after committing to the Bulldogs.
LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis has been on a roll with commitments in from three prospects, including two Top 100 recruits. The most recent addition to the group is Mississippi’s Tyler Miller, who is ranked by On3 as the No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the 2025 class. Miller was joined on the sidelines by his mother as he took in another trip to Baton Rouge.
Davis also played host to another Mississippi offensive lineman with an offer from the Tigers in Mario Nash, who also made the drive in with his family.
There were plenty of other LSU commitments with the recruits before kickoff, including Texas four-star linebacker Charles Ross, Louisiana four-star tight end JD LaFleur and Louisiana four-star offensive lineman Brett Bordelon.
