Hailey Van Lith is heading to the Windy City.

The former LSU guard was selected by the Chicago Sky with the No. 11 overall pick in Monday night’s 2025 WNBA Draft, setting up a reunion with her college teammate Angel Reese. The two played together for the Tigers during the 2023-24 season, and now they’ll team up again at the professional level.

Reese wasted no time reacting to the news, taking to social media to share her excitement.

“We ain’t do it right the first time,” she posted on X. “Let’s run it backkkkk.”

The two shared just one season in Baton Rouge, a year that didn’t quite live up to national title expectations but still ended with a deep NCAA Tournament run. LSU reached the Elite Eight before falling one win short of the Final Four.

Reese was a force throughout that season, averaging 18.6 points and 13.4 rebounds per game. Van Lith, who transferred from Louisville, played out of position at point guard and posted 11.6 points and 3.6 assists per game—numbers that dipped below her previous production but still contributed to the Tigers’ success. She transferred to TCU after her one season in Baton Rouge. Van Lith averaged 17.9 points per game with the Horned Frogs last season, again losing in the Elite Eight.

Reese joined the Sky as a first-round pick in 2024 and went on to finish as the WNBA Rookie of the Year runner-up. Last season was the first time in five years that the Sky did not make the playoffs. They finished with a 13-27 record.

Reese and Van Lith will return to Baton Rouge on May 2 as the Sky face Brazil in a preseason game at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, per ESPN.
