The LSU football staff has added another Top 150 prospect to the commitment list with the addition of Alexandria Senior High four-star running back JT Lindsey.

Lindsey announced his commitment to the Tigers on Saturday just ahead of the LSU Spring Game.

“It felt like home,” Lindsey told The Bengal Tiger, making his pledge to the staff not longer after receiving an offer from LSU, which came during a trip to campus earlier this week.

With running backs coach Frank Wilson making the move to offer Lindsey a verbal scholarship, the ASH standout adds another big piece to an impressive 2025 class in Baton Rouge.

“It was heartwarming. I have been waiting on this one since I was little,” Lindsey told The Bengal Tiger staff after landing an offer from LSU. “After practice, Coach Frank brought me and my coach to his office. We had a meeting and he said I am a great kid but not at my full potential yet, and he wants to take me there.

“I had the biggest smile ever. It’s a kid’s dream … He said he wants me to help build (the class).”

As a junior this past fall, Lindsey posted nearly 1,800 yards rushing and 26 touchdowns at ASH, and his track-and-field times were impressive.

In the most recent On300 update, the On3 rankings team bumped Lindsey from unranked to a Top 150 four-star prospect and the No. 11 running back in the 2025 class.

It’s no surprise Lindsey jumped on board with LSU given the visit alongside his family in March, which came as Wilson and the Tigers were turning up the heat on the in-state standout.

“I came with my mom, my cousin and my aunt. They loved every bit of it,” Lindsey said of the visit.

Now, the On3 four-star and No. 5 prospect in Louisiana is joining an impressive list of Alexandria Senior High standouts who chose LSU for college.

“(It means) the world to me,” Lindsey said. “You see DJ Chark in the league now. Jacobian Guillory came from ASH and will be starting for LSU this year. We are just from little old Alexandria.”

LSU has a commitment in from the No. 1 running back in America in Louisiana’s Harlem Berry, who checks in as a 5-star on the On3 Industry Rankings. The Tigers have also pursued another Louisiana running back in 4-star James Simon, who remains uncommitted as the No. 9 running back prospect in the 2025 class.
