LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis and the Tigers have landed a commitment from Arkansas 4-star Carius Curne.

Curne, On3’s No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the 2025 class, announced his verbal pledge to the Tigers on Thursday, choosing LSU over a final three that included Arkansas and Missouri.

Curne is On3’s No. 25 overall prospect, putting him firmly in 5-star range as the rankings expand to 32 total 5-stars by National Signing Day. He’s the third No. 1 player at his position to commit to LSU for the 2025 cycle, joining No. 1 quarterback Bryce Underwood and No. 1 running back Harlem Berry.

LSU has 12 commits and the No. 2 class in the country as the battle with Ohio State for the No. 1 spot continues.

Curne is the fourth offensive lineman to commit to Davis and LSU this cycle, joining Tyler Miller, Devin Harper and Brett Bordelon. Curne, Miller and Harper are all ranked as Top 100 prospects, regardless of position.

The one-time Arkansas verbal pledge backed off his commitment to the Razorbacks in March, a decision that came just days after he took an unofficial visit to LSU.

After an official visit to LSU in June, Curne said his relationship with Davis helped push the Tigers into the top spot as his college choice.

“It’s about developing me in every aspect of my life,” Curne said of his relationship with Davis. “He’s real honest and tells me this will be hard, but they have the resources and people to develop me as a person, student, and as an athlete.

“He’s built a great relationship with me.”

Marion High head coach Lance Clark opened up on what the Tigers are getting in the 4-star offensive lineman, who is currently just a shade under 6-foot-5 and weighs in at 315 pounds.

“I have been fortunate to coach 16 years with 10 in Alabama and six in Arkansas. I’ve been around high level players in college and go on to NFL. I’ve never seen SEC offers from Georgia, LSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Missouri and more and they say we will take you on either side of the line,” Clark told The Bengal Tiger staff. “I’ve seen it in the skill world. But, it’s a testament to him as a player.

“He’s just under 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds and can do front flips and back flips. He goes out (one year ago) and runs 4.81 in the 40-yard dash and 4.3 in the shuttle at Mississippi State. Usually freak athletes are defensive linemen. I forced him against his will – and now he loves it – to be an offensive lineman. It starts there. They don’t make them like Carius.

“Then, he embraced the weight room this past offseason. What makes him special as an offensive lineman, he can match the Top 100 defensive line prospects with measurements, then place the offensive line position with such technique. It shows his capacity to grow and learn. He’s long, even being under 6-foot-5, his length is really like a 6-foot-6 guy. And he can move. When you look at him, he has the college build coming out.”
