The LSU football staff has pulled off another flip on the recruiting trail, this time poaching Jaiden Braker away from another SEC program.

On Wednesday, Braker flipped his commitment from South Carolina to LSU after committing to the Gamecocks on July 6.

The Georgia native’s recruiting process got a shakeup when Braker was invited to LSU’s Bayou Splash this past week, then landed a verbal scholarship offer from LSU defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Blake Baker.

Less than a week after leaving campus in Baton Rouge, Braker chose to flip his commitment to the Tigers and join a linebacker group for the 2025 class that includes Houston North Shore four-star LB Charles Ross and Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab four-star LB Keylan Moses.

For Braker, the recent Baton Rouge visit coupled with the offer from the Tigers was enough to get the flip done for the LSU staff.

“This was my first visit to LSU and this offer means a lot to me,” Braker told On3. “The visit was more than I expected it to be. I saw the campus, how they run things and I got the offer at the Bayou Bash.”

“I feel good about LSU,” he added. “The best parts of the visit were seeing the campus, seeing the tiger cage, and talking and bonding with the staff.”

As a junior, Braker logged 48 tackles in nine games. He’s the 19th commitment for LSU’s 2025 recruiting class, which checks in at No. 3 on the On3 Industry Rankings.
