Breaking: LSU WBB lands top-10 talent Divine Bourrage
LSU has picked up a commitment from Divine Bourrage, the No. 7 player in the 2025 class, on Thursday afternoon, marking the second commitment for the Tigers this year and the third top-10 player in the Kim Mulkey era.
Bourrage had been linked to LSU for months and after her official visit over the weekend to Baton Rouge, the Iowa native shut down her recruitment and decided that she was ready to make her decision, choosing the Tigers over South Carolina, Arizona, Baylor, Illinois, and Virginia Tech.
Bourrage joins Bella Hines, another top-25 guard, as the two LSU commits early on this fall, already giving Kim Mulkey more commitments than she had in the 2024 cycle. At 5-foot-9, she’s a player who can play any guard position and has the ability to score from anywhere on the court.
“I like how Kim Mulkey is with her players,” Bourrage said after her visit. “She’s really loving with them and I feel that’s what a player needs. Then I’m heavy on the family aspect and I think that’s what stood out the most.
“It’s a dream come true. I’ve been a big Kim Mulkey fan for a long time, so when they hit me up and offered me I almost cried about that. I’ve talked to coach Mulkey a lot over the phone and she’s big on family, so it makes sense she’s like that with her players.”

LSU and Bourrage originally got in touch in May and since then. Bourrage has gotten to see and speak to Kim Mulkey often, further reinforcing everything she wants from a coach at the next level.
On the visit, it was an even better opportunity for Bourrage to get to know the rest of the team and program, getting to spend time with the assistant coaches and current players to get a full scope of what LSU offers.
“The assistant coaches are like Kim Mulkey. They’re very loving and they know how to coach. It was fun to be around the current players too. We hung out with Aalyah [Del Rosario], Jersey [Wolfenbarger], Amani [Bartlett], and Flau’Jae [Johnson]. We already had a relationship from the summer so it was a really fun visit. We already had that relationship going in, so we could just be our authentic self.”
With Bourrage and Hines on board, attention turns to the other four names on LSU’s board: Grace Knox, ZaKiyah Johnson, Aaliyah Chavez, and Ayla McDowell. Knox and Johnson took their official visit last weekend along with Bourrage as LSU made their pitches to all three of them. We’ll have to wait and see how their recruitments play out, but the Tigers are off to a strong start with two months before signing day. Ayla McDowell visits LSU on Sept. 21, while Chavez’ official visit has not been announced yet.
