Gonzales (La.) East Ascension four-star offensive tackle Brysten Martinez has committed to LSU, he announced on Thursday morning.
The news comes less than 24 hours after The Bengal Tiger’s Shea Dixon made his On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) pick in favor of LSU after the Tigers continued to trend ahead of other college offers from the likes of Alabama, Texas A&M, Oregon, Tennessee, Penn State, Georgia, Florida and more.
Martinez is the No. 59 overall prospect and No. 8 OT in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 5 player in Louisiana.
On3 ranks the 6-foot-5, 290-pounder as the No. 48 overall recruit in the 2026, No. 10 OT and No. 4 player in The Boot, checking in just behind fellow LSU commit and Edna Karr defensive lineman Richard Anderson and a pair of 5-stars Baton Rouge’s Lamar Brown and Blaine Bradford.
LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis and offensive coordinator Joe Sloan are a pair of on-field coaches who made Martinez a priority over recent years, with the rising senior landing his offer from the Tigers following his freshman year of high school. Now, Martinez is officially on board LSU’s growing 2026 class.

Martinez is the sixth commitment for LSU’s 2026 class, joining five other fellow Louisiana natives and becoming the second offensive line pledge – joining Warren Easton’s Jalan Chapman.
With a trio of Top 100 prospects now committed, and five of LSU’s six verbal pledges ranked as Top 300 prospects, LSU sits firmly inside then On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings Top 10 recruiting classes in college football.
When he first landed his offer from LSU, the Louisiana native – who attends high school just 30 minutes from LSU’s campus – made it clear a day would likely come when he made good on the scholarship offer with a commitment to the Tigers.
“A dream come true, literally,” Martinez told On3 after landing his LSU offer.
