LSU is unranked in both the AP and Coaches polls for the first time in more than two years.

The Tigers (6-4, 3-3) fell from the top 25 of both lists Sunday following their third straight loss, 27-16, at Florida (5-5, 3-4) on Saturday.

A third loss matches skids in 2015 and 2021 as the program’s longest since 2000.

LSU received six votes in the AP Poll and one in the Coaches.

The Tigers’ next opponent, Vanderbilt (6-4, 3-3), earned four votes in the AP and one in the Coaches ahead of its visit to Baton Rouge this Saturday.

No. 3 Texas (9-1, 5-1) leads seven SEC teams in both rankings, including five in the AP top 10 and four in the Coaches top 10.

Alabama (8-2, 4-2), Georgia (8-2, 6-2) and Ole Miss (8-2, 4-2) are No. 7, 8 and 9, respectively, on both lists.

Tennessee (8-2, 5-2) fell to No. 10 in the AP and No. 11 in the Coaches after losing Saturday in Athens.

Down Interstate-10, Tulane (9-2) is now ranked in at No. 20 in both polls, up five spots in the AP, from No. 25, and from just outside the Coaches’ top 25 last week.

The Green Wave climbed five spots in the AP and six in the Coaches after going on the road Saturday and shutting out Navy (5-2).

This marks the fourth season of the past five in which LSU has slipped behind either Tulane, in 2022 and 2024, or Louisiana (Lafayette), in 2020 and 2021, in the rankings.

The Ragin’ Cajuns received five votes in both polls.

A new set of College Football Playoff rankings will be released Tuesday.
