College GameDay crew (except Nick Saban) predict LSU to upset Alabama
All but one member of ESPN’s “College GameDay” broadcast predicted LSU to beat visiting Alabama.
The coach of national championship teams at both schools said he appreciated a warm welcome Saturday morning to Baton Rouge, but that he couldn’t pick against all the Crimson Tide players he helped recruit to Tuscaloosa, Ala.
But Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, Lee Corso and the celebrity guest-picker duo of Olivia “Livvy” Dunne and Paul Skenes all projected the home Tigers to win the teams’ pivotal SEC showdown.
“I mean, a night game in Death Valley?” said Dunne, a member of the school’s national champion gymnastics program. “There’s only one right answer, and it’s LSU.”
Howard said he spoke with 2023 Heisman quarterback Jayden Daniels, who said the Tigers’ 2022 win against Alabama was his favorite football game.

McAfee led the packed Quad into renditions of “Neck” and “Callin’ Baton Rouge.”
Corso asked for his favorite song to be cued up and first revealed, “Sweet Home Alabama,” before halting it, saying he expects LSU to win its 15th straight game in Tiger Stadium and then signaling for the school fight song.
LSU vs. Alabama is once again tied for the most frequently featured matchup for the popular ESPN show.
The broadcast returned to Baton Rouge this weekend for the first time since 2019, though the Tigers have been included as the road team in several GameDay matchups in that span, including in Tuscaloosa last year.
LSU is 22-14 all-time in “College GameDay” matchups and 3-8 against Alabama.
