Davhon Keys set to enroll at LSU after inking with the Tigers
2024 Aledo (Tex.) linebacker and LSU commit Davhon Keys made it official with the Tigers, signing his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.
Now his next stop is Baton Rouge as an early enrollee, where he’ll look to bring his championship pedigree and production to the Tigers.
During his time at Aledo, Keys was part of three state title teams for a high school program rich in football tradition.
Keys finished just two tackles short of 400 for his career (398), totaling 40 tackles for loss, 19 quarterback hurries and eight sacks.
Keys had nine interceptions – including four returned for touchdowns – to go with six fumble recoveries, four forced fumbles. He also blocked a pair of field goals and one punt.
With 35 total touchdowns across his high school career, Keys heads to Baton Rouge as a three-time state champion and the Texas 5A Division 1 State Championship Defensive MVP honors.

Keys went out a state champion as the Bearcats captured the Texas 5A Division I State Championship on Friday. Spotting Smithson Valley an early 8-0 lead, Aledo ripped off 51 unanswered to win, 51-8.
Keys finished with 12 tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack in the game. He took home Defensive MVP honors with his performance. The push for another state title for Aledo started all the way back in the summer.
“It just shows we have a lot of determination. It all started in the summer,” Keys said. “Waking up at 6:45 and having to build that resilience early even though we’re in the offseason. Still going hard and we’re still waking up early. It definitely pays off when it’s Week 16 and it’s crunch time. You have to start going hard even when you don’t feel like it.”
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Keys ranks as the No. 33 overall linebacker in the country and No. 59 prospect in Texas.
