Destrehan's Jhase Thomas talks LSU interest, visit
2025 Destrehan (La.) athlete Jhase Thomas was on LSU’s campus earlier this month to spend time watching spring practice. The 6-3 athlete was impressed with the coaching staff Brian Kelly’s assembled.
“I loved it,” Thomas told On3. “I loved the love the coaches showed me. They are really genuine! I can tell they genuinely want me there.”
He spoke with the staff about the changes coming to the defense.
“The new defensive coaching said that they will be a great and aggressive defense,” Thomas said.
LSU safeties coach Jake Olsen and secondary coach Corey Raymond both spoke with the three-star prospect about his versatility and more.
“I spoke with Coach Olsen and he was telling me about how and where I can benefit the defense with the new scheme that they run,” Thomas said. “I also spoke to Coach Corey Raymond about being able to be versatile and play a little corner.”
