Duncanville High running back Caden Durham is the No. 11 running back prospect in the country on the On3 Industry Rankings.

Now, Durham is seeing his opportunities expand beyond college football.

On Thursday, Oklahoma – the lead team on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine – matched the program’s football offer with a verbal scholarship from the track-and-field program.

The move comes after the LSU track-and-field staff offered Durham a scholarship one week ago.

Durham shining in spring track season

Durham has already turned in a handful of sub-10.5 second 100-meter dash times this spring.

At Texas Relays on April 1, he clocked a 10.44 100-meter dash. The same day, he landed an offer from the LSU track-and-field staff.

Now, Oklahoma has jumped into the mix with scholarship offers in both sports.

Both program’s men’s track-and-field teams are currently ranked in the Top 15 nationally, with LSU checking in at No. 3 and Oklahoma at No. 14.

Plenty of schools still chasing a top RB prospect

With more than 30 football scholarship offers under his belt, Durham has become one of the most heavily-recruited running backs in the 2024 class.

Beyond LSU and Oklahoma, Durham has reeled in out-of-state offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida, Penn State and more. In his home state, offers are in from Texas, Texas A&M, TCU, SMU, Texas Tech, Houston, UTSA and Texas State.

Durham was one of the key pieces to Duncanville’s run to a state title at the highest classification in Texas this past season. He closed out his junior season with nearly 2,000 rushing yards and 36 touchdowns on 210 carries. He also caught nine passes for 93 yards and a touchdown.

Durham is the No. 11 running back and No. 162 overall prospect in the country on the On3 Industry Rankings.
