Former LSU WR Kyren Lacy has passed away at 24 years old

Former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy has passed away at the age of 24, a family member has confirmed with WAFB’s Jacques Doucet.
His death is a suspected suicide, a source told Baton Rouge news station WAFB.
Lacy’s tragic passing comes days before a grand jury was set to begin hearing evidence on Monday in a case involving Lacy after he was arrested and released on charges related to a deadly hit-and-run crash in Lafourche Parish in January.
Lacy had been preparing for the 2025 NFL Draft, which begins later this month.
Lacy started his college career at Louisiana, where he played for the Ragin’ Cajuns for two seasons. He transferred to LSU, where he played his final three collegiate seasons, including a breakout year this past fall.
In 2024, Lacy put up 58 catches, 866 yards, nine touchdowns and 14.9 yards per catch. He finished his college career with 162 catches, 2,360 yards, 26 touchdowns and 14.3 yards per catch.
