Highly touted QB Dia Bell sets first LSU visit
2026 Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage quarterback Dia Bell is set for his first LSU visit this weekend for the Auburn game. The four-star prospect is already one of the top quarterbacks in the country.
LSU hasn’t offered just yet, but Bell, the son of former NBA player Raja Bell, has amassed offers from BYU, Florida, Penn State and others.
The 6-1, 185-pound signal caller has a natural feel for the game early in his high school career.
“I’ve been working on that since I can remember,” Bell said. “The pocket presence was one of the key things this week (against Trinity Christian) coming from last week taking some hits I probably shouldn’t have took. It was a big thing this week and it showed up.”
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Bell’s the No. 48 overall prospect in the country and No. 3 quarterback in the nation. Florida leads the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine early on.

“It’s cool to have attention. It’s great to know that colleges are taking recognition of what I’m doing and the work I’m putting in,” he said. “We always keep the main thing the main thing and that’s winning games and trying to get back in the state championship game.
“I look for great academics. We hold that to a high standard in our family and American Heritage, coming from this school. High academics is a good thing to have. The type of offense they run is definitely something to look into.”
LSU could be next up to offer Bell, who sits on On3’s early 2026 Watch List.
“Though he’s seen little varsity action to this point, Dia Bell has shown some encouraging flashes as a passer,” On3’s Charles Power wrote this fall. “The son of former NBA player Raja Bell could be primed for a breakout season at Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage.”
