How to watch: LSU vs. Arkansas
LSU takes on Arkansas at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN inside Tiger Stadium as Brian Kelly’s team looks to move to 2-0 in SEC play.
Last week, the Tigers started fast against Mississippi State and left no doubt as quarterback Jayden Daniels and wide receiver Malik Nabers put on an offensive clinic, en route to 530 yards of total offense in LSU’s 41-14 win over Mississippi State.
The two earned SEC-Co Offensive Player of the Week honors, which the league office announced on Monday. Teammates have been named Co-SEC Offensive Players of the Week only five times since 1986, and the Tigers have done it three times.
If the Tigers dropped their SEC opener, there’d be a very different mindset coming into this Arkansas matchup. The Razorbacks are coming off a 38-31 loss to BYU last week at home.

A call for punishment for brawls
“You can imagine the paint would be peeling off the walls in this building. Our expectations would be in how we prepare, we would be coming out ready to play and that will be the case with Arkansas,” Kelly said this week. “We’re gonna get their very best and have to match and exceed that. This is college football and keeping those young men at that competitive edge week in and week out is the biggest challenge we face now.”
LSU leads the overall series, 43-23-2, and has won six of the last seven meetings against Arkansas. After a loss in 2021, LSU bounced back to win in Fayetteville last year. This year, it’s an opportunity to find out more about what team the Tigers have.
“We’re still trying to find consistency in who we are,” Kelly said. “When you talk about the identity of a football team, you make some assumptions and I made some that were not accurate. We’ve made some tweaks and adjustments like anyone would along the way to prepare our football team in a manner that when it’s time to play, they play with a competitive edge. I think we’ve seen that the last couple of weeks and need to continue to do that.”
