2026 Baton Rouge (La.) U-High lineman Lamar Brown shined during LSU Elite Camp this month, showcasing why he’s one of the nation’s top prospects already.

LSU defensive line coach Jimmy Lindsey got the first crack at working with the two-way lineman over the summer.

“Camp was great. I got to learn a lot of new things, see a lot of things, compete,” Brown told On3. “It was just a good camp. It was good getting to know him (Lindsey), it was my first time meeting him. He’s a cool dude. He taught me a lot and everything I needed to get better.”

LSU holds the early On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine lead and Brown’s on campus all the time, not only attending high school at U-High, but visiting the LSU Football program.

“LSU, that’s big for me. Hometown, 15 minutes away from where I’m from.”

Georgia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Alabama and Mississippi State are the programs he’s talking with a good bit early on as well.

On3 assistant director of scouting Cody Bellaire raved about the 6-4, 260-pounder when he saw him at camp as well.

“Brown showed why he is one of the most highly coveted prospects in the 2026 class,” Bellaire wrote. “The frame is fantastic, he will add weight throughout his frame with ease and is one of the best big-man movers for his age I have ever seen with my own eyes. Whether it is on offense or defense, Brown showed why he garners so much attention when he shows up to an event.”
