Louisiana CB Wallace Foster signs with LSU
One of the longest tenured commitments of the 2024 class, Wallace Foster has been locked in with LSU for over a year now and on Wednesday finally put pen to paper to sign with LSU.
Early this month, Foster was one of several commits to take their final official visit to LSU before closing out the year and he continued to play the role as recruiter to the uncommitted prospects.
“It was great. Everything went just as planned. I had fun and it was very exciting,” Foster told On3. “I liked that when I was in the meeting, coach House was showing me how they see me and stuff I can improve at. The love is just always going to be there each and every time (I visit).”
On the visit to LSU, Foster also got time with his future teammates. He enjoyed the time with Bernard Causey, Khayree Lee and Tylen Singleton over the weekend.
“I’m kind of close with the commitments because we have two other commitments from New Orleans and I’m already close with Tylen from North Louisiana,” he said. “It was cool.”
On his visit, Foster made his pitch to Texas A&M four-star defensive line commit Gabriel Reliford, who he thinks is open to staying home.

“I feel like I had a conversation with him and he needs to be a part of Louisiana,” Foster said. “He’s still from Louisiana, he plays for Louisiana, so why not stay in Louisiana? I felt like I got through to him. I feel like he’s locked in.”
Staying true to LSU
Foster has had the same approach for the past year as he looks to do everything possible to help LSU in this recruiting cycle while also working on his game and hoping to have an early impact in Baton Rouge.
Foster is ranked as the No. 71 cornerback in the country and the No. 23 player in Louisiana, with offers from Mississippi State, Florida State, Texas and others as he’s an incredibly tough cornerback prospect and one excited to get on campus.
He suffered a knee injury during his junior year that held him out and subsequently dropped him in the rankings, but says that time off in 2023 was important for him to fous on what matters and get back to 100 percent. Now, LSU’s staff will be looking to get the most out of Foster in his collegiate career.
