BREAKING: Louisiana EDGE Ahmad Breaux commits to LSU

2024 Ruston (La.) EDGE Ahmad Breaux wrapped up his LSU unofficial visit on Saturday, adding an offer while on campus in Baton Rouge. It didn’t take long for him to decommit from the Blue Devils and commit to the Tigers, he announced.
Breaux committed to Duke in January and holds offers from Louisiana Tech, Ole Miss and others. LSU was a massive in-state offer for him and the Tigers made a big impression on the visit.
“My experience on this Junior Day visit was by far one of the best I’ve ever had,” Breaux told On3. “Coach Kelly, JR Belton, Coach Cain, Coach House, along with the rest of the staff welcomed me to this campus with a totally different energy that you can’t get anywhere else. It felt like home, being a kid born and raised in South Louisiana.”

What stood out so much to him?
“The culture at LSU, the dedication, and the high bar that is set for the players by the coaches really stood out to me” Breaux said. “The staff is so welcoming and want the best for you as a man, and nobody is a stranger to them. I feel like I can go to them for anything and that’s what matters most.”
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Breaux ranks as the No. 58 overall EDGE in the country and No. 20 prospect in Louisiana.
