Louisiana’s Easton Royal ranked a Top 5 WR in On3’s first 2027 rankings

On3 released its first On300 rankings for the 2027 class Monday and Brother Martin wide receiver Easton Royal is one of the best in the country. Royal, who checks in at 5-foot-11, 185 pounds, is ranked as one of the top five wide receivers in the entire country, per On3.
The four-star is now ranked by On3 as the No. 25 overall prospect in the country, regardless of position.
Royal’s rise in the rankings comes after a standout sophomore season where he emerged as one of the top playmakers in Louisiana. In 12 games, he racked up an impressive 1,149 all-purpose yards and 14 touchdowns, showcasing his ability to impact the game in multiple ways. Royal proved to be a difference-maker for Brother Martin’s offense. He’s also had an impressive spring thus far on the 7-on-7 circuit for Fleaux.
Royal’s breakout season hasn’t gone unnoticed by college programs. He already holds scholarship offers from Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Miami, Houston, Virginia Tech, and Troy, with more likely on the way as his recruitment heats up. He visited LSU last year for a camp, too.

Sam Houston standout and LSU target Albert Simien made an impressive debut this week, earning the distinction of being the top-ranked interior offensive line prospect in On3’s first On300 rankings for the 2027 class. Simien has emerged as one of the most sought-after linemen in the country for his year. Another highly regarded LSU target, Jesuit edge rusher Zyron Forstall, also made waves in the initial rankings. Forstall is ranked as the No. 1 recruit in Louisiana, No. 3 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 2 edge rusher in the 2027 class, solidifying his place as one of the top defensive players in the country. Together, Simien and Forstall headline a strong group of Louisiana prospects featured in the On300 rankings, a group that also includes Royal. The presence of these elite athletes highlights Louisiana’s continued reputation as a pipeline for top-tier football talent, and with several other highly-ranked prospects from the state, the 2027 class is shaping up to be another strong year.
Louisiana’s Top 10 in the Class of 2027, per On3 rankings: No. 1 Forstall, No. 2 Simien, No. 3 Royal, No. 4 Ahmad Hudson (Ruston), No. 5 Elijah Haven (Dunham), No. 6 Peyton Houston (Evangel), No. 7 Miguel Whitley (St. Augustine), No. 8 Malachi Zeigler (Benton), No. 9 Javon Vital Jr. (Hamilton Christian) and No. 10 Braylon Calais (Cecilia).
