Five-star Louisiana forward Chris Cenac sets LSU official visit date
Five-star recruit Chris Cenac, On3’s No. 5 overall prospect in the 2025 class and a New Orleans native, will take an official visit to LSU the weekend of November 9th, sources tell On3.
The 6-10 Power Forward played his junior season at Isidore Newman in Louisiana but recently announced he would be transferring to Link Academy in Missouri to conclude his high school career. This will be a return for Cenac back to his home state which also includes a massive football game between LSU and Alabama in Tiger Stadium
Cenac unofficially visited the Tigers last year for the basketball game against Kentucky and will now return to Baton Rouge for an official visit.
“That was a great game,” Cenac told the Bengal Tiger On3 in the spring. “Good win for LSU that they needed going into these upcoming games they are playing. The experience was great rushing the court and getting hype with the team after the win. The coaching staff is nice and shows great hospitality.”

LSU has made Cenac a priority in this class for over a year and now looks to make one final push for the five-star from the boot. Cenac has developed into one of the top players in the nation with awesome appearances in the AAU setting and the NBPA Top 100 Showcase this summer.
In a previous interview with On3’s Jamie Shaw, Chris Cenac discussed LSU.
“My relationship is good with the staff. The whole staff reaches out pretty much all the time. They’re still building their program. I want to see this year what they do this year, with the team they have. They have great facilities down there. How up to date their facilities are stood out to me.”
What he’s looking for in a school
“I’m looking for a school that will develop me the most and help me get to the next level,” he told Shaw. “I’ll want to have a great relationship with the coaches, trust there. And I’ll want to be looking for an NBA type system, spreading the floor, playing four or five out. I’m open to any school around the country really, location won’t matter.”

“Chris Cenac has a great frame. It is projectable with long arms and natural fluidity. Cenac has good touch with good hands. He is a threat to step out and knock down a shot with his feet set. He needs to continue working on his balance and feet on the shot, but the release is consistent. Cenac is an excellent area rebounder. Making a concerted effort to high point and secure every board. He still needs strength, especially to his core and base. There is defensive upside. Cenac has a fluidity when he moves. He can open his hips and slide his feet. He also has natural timing around the rim. Now it is all about learning the angles, rotations, and footwork on that end. There is a high ceiling with Cenac as a lot of his tools translate to the highest levels of basketball. It is all about reps and development.
