Louisiana OL Khayree Lee signs with LSU
2024 Marrero (La.) John Ehret offensive lineman Khayree Lee signed with LSU on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period. Lee’s recruitment was punctuated by a strong official visit to Baton Rouge this month.
“My visit was very lovely. I had spent a lot of time with the coaches and me and my family, we spent time with everybody,” Lee told On3. “It was a good time to get the feeling of what we’re dealing with and they loved it. That was my whole mission this week was that my family enjoyed their time.
“Nothing really stood out because I’ve been so many times. Ain’t no place like home so I’m just blessed to be in this position.”
Offensive line coach Brad Davis sat down and laid out what’s expected of the New Orleans area standout.
“It was like a father to son type of conversation,” Lee said. “He has so many expectations and high standards. I’ve just got to come in and go to work, you know? That’s what he was basically telling me. He said he was proud of me and said that I was going to come to work.”
Head coach Brian Kelly also finalized where he’ll play at the next level. Lee put in plenty of work to reshape his body from end of his junior year to now.

“Coach Kelly asked me what position I want to play,” he said. “I said, ‘Guard.’ He said that he likes me at that position. He said he’ll give me a chance to pull and do all types of things.”
His player hosts and future teammates come January impressed him as well.
“I spent some time with Tyree Adams and DJ Chester,” Lee said. “That’s some guys I’ve been looking up to and talking to ever since I got the offer. Hanging around them, it just gives me motivation. I’m glad to even be around them.”
With Lee putting pen to paper, it’s the end of an exciting recruitment for him.
“I’m excited about everything. It’s so good to be true, I’m just blessed to be in this position. I’m going to prepare myself, get right and do what I got to do.”
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Lee ranks as the No. 47 overall interior offensive lineman and No. 13 prospect in Louisiana.
