Former Louisiana wide receiver Kyren Lacy announced on Friday that he had committed to LSU, giving the Tigers a big-bodied receiver to add to the room for the 2022 season.

Lacy wrapped up a visit to LSU on Friday after taking an Auburn official visit earlier in the week. Oklahoma made a strong push to land the Thibodaux, La. native.

In his sophomore campaign, Lacy caught 22 passes for 304 yards and six touchdowns over just 12 games. As a true freshman, Lacy caught a team-high 28 passes for 364 yards and four touchdowns. His four scores were tied for the most on the team.

In two seasons over 23 games in Lafayette, Lacy caught 50 passes for 668 yards and 10 scores.

A late riser in recruiting rankings, Lacy added a Miami offer during his senior year, but opted to stay home to play for Napier. Now, he’s on the move.
