The 2023 NFL Draft is complete, and the LSU football program had six players selected – led at the top by second-round pick BJ Ojulari.

Ojulari was the lone LSU player selected across the first two days and three rounds of the draft. On Saturday, the Tigers had five more players taken between rounds four and six of the annual seven-round draft.

LSU had 10 players selected a year ago in the 2022 NFL Draft, which followed up a 2021 NFL Draft that saw seven LSU players picked.

The Tigers set a program record with 14 players selected off the National Championship team in the 2020 NFL Draft. LSU’s total of six players drafted was the program’s lowest-mark since the 2019 NFL Draft when three Tigers were taken in Devin White, Greedy Williams and Foster Moreau.

The streak of first-round picks for LSU that began with White in 2019 also came to an end. LSU had a program-record five players taken in 2020, then one first-round pick in 2021 and 2022. The streak was made more impressive given LSU had a player selected in the Top 5 in each draft with White at No. 5, Joe Burrow at No. 1, Ja’Marr Chase at No. 5 and Derek Stingley at No. 3.

LSU 2023 NFL Draft Picks

BJ Ojulari – Round 2, Pick No. 41 (Arizona Cardinals)

Anthony Bradford – Round 4, Pick No. 108 (Seattle Seahawks)

Jay Ward – Round 4, Pick No. 134 (Minnesota Vikings)

Jaquelin Roy – Round 5, Pick No. 141 (Minnesota Vikings)

Kayshon Boutte – Round 6, No. 187 (New England Patriots)

Jarrick Bernard-Converse – Round 6, Pick No. 204 (New York Jets)

Ojuari was the first name off the board, which was widely expected given most mock drafts slotted him as an early second round pick. The Tigers then had to wait until Saturday to have the next name come off the board with Bradford landing in the fourth round. He will join former LSU offensive lineman Damien Lewis in Seattle, giving the Tigers a chance at two starters on the offensive line for the Seahawks. The Vikings then went with back-to-back Tigers by taking Ward late in the fourth round and Roy early in the fifth round.

Boutte’s slide down draft boards ended when the New England Patriots selected the LSU receiver in the sixth round. Boutte, a former five-star prospect, was one of the nation’s top receivers prior to a season-ending injury in 2021. Following a poor showing at the NFL Combine, Boutte wasn’t expected to come off the board until Saturday’s final four rounds.

Bernard-Converse was the final LSU selection of the draft. The Louisiana native was a standout player at Oklahoma State before transferring to LSU prior to the 2022 season. He locked up a starting job and saw time at cornerback and safety, and an excellent showing at LSU Pro Day helped up his stock enough to come off the board in the sixth round.
