The LSU football staff went on a roll this past week with three commitments in two days, and the newest On3 Class Rankings kept the Tigers firmly in the race for the No. 1 class in the 2025 cycle.

On Monday, the newest updates to the On300 were revealed, and there was no change at the top as 5-star+ quarterback Bryce Underwood remained the No. 1 overall prospect in the class, regardless of position.

The massive surge came from Texas 4-star defensive lineman Zion Williams, who just committed to the Tigers over Texas, Oklahoma and others.

Williams was outside the Top 300 as a 3-star prospect with On3. Now, he catapulted into not just a 4-star ranking, but also a Top 100 overall prospect.

Here’s the rundown on how the rankings look for LSU’s Top 5 class as 13 of the current 15 commits landed inside the new On300 ahead of their senior seasons.

Bryce Underwood – 5-star QB

New Ranking: No. 1 QB, No. 1 overall

Quick Take: Underwood has a legitimate chance to go wire-to-wire as the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle. The Michigan native is locked in on LSU, and the nation’s No. 1 quarterback prospect has not visited any other college campuses on recruiting trips and has a January enrollment planned in Baton Rouge.

Harlem Berry – 4-star RB

New Ranking: No. 1 RB, No. 17 overall

Quick Take: Berry holds onto his ranking as the No. 1 running back, and like Underwood, he has the chance to go wire-to-wire as On3’s No. 1 prospect at his position. One bonus for the On3 staff was seeing Berry show off his pass-catching skills in person this spring and summer. With 15 total 5-stars on On3, and 32 total 5-stars by National Signing Day, Berry and Jonah Williams (No. 1 safety) are the next two up in the Nos. 16-17 spots.

Carius Curne – 4-star OL

New Ranking: No. 2 IOL, No. 29 overall

Quick Take: Curne and 5-star Michael Carroll swapped spots as the No. 1 interior offensive lineman on On3, but Curne’s 95 rating remained the same as he stayed put inside On3’s Top 30 overall prospects. Add him to the list of potential 5-stars as the rankings expand.

Tyler Miller – 4-star OL

New Ranking: No. 3 IOL, No. 40 overall

Quick Take: Miller entered the week as On3’s No. 3 interior offensive lineman, and he stayed put in the position and remains an On3 Top 40 prospect. With the ability to play tackle or guard, a strong senior season from Miller at Laurel High (Miss.) could catapult him closer to the Top 32 (5-star range).

Jesse Harrold – 4-star EDGE

New Ranking: No. 9 EDGE, No. 66 overall

Quick Take: There is no change at all on Harrold’s On3 ranking as he remained the No. 9 EDGE rusher and No. 66 prospect in the 2025 class. At 6-foot-3 3/4, 227 pounds, Harrold has 34.5″ arms, 10.5″ hands and an 83″ wing entering his senior season of high school. Simply put, that’s Top 100 measurements for an LSU commit who also flashes on tape.

Zion Williams – 4-star DT

New Ranking: No. 7 DT, No. 86 overall prospect

Quick Take: There was no LSU commitment who had a bigger rise on the On3 rankings than Williams, who committed to LSU on July 4th over a final group that included programs like Texas and Oklahoma. Williams entered the week as an On3 3-star and outside the Top 30 defensive tackles. Now, he’s an On3 Top 100 prospect and the No. 7 defensive tackle in the country.

Devin Harper – 4-star OL

New Ranking: No. 7 IOL, No. 118 overall

Quick Take: Harper slid back 11 spots in the overall rankings, but when it came to offensive guards and centers in the 2025 cycle, the On3 rankings team moved Harper up from the No. 8 IOL to the No. 7 IOL. Now, LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis has 3 of the country’s Top 7 interior offensive linemen committed.

Damien Shanklin – 4-star EDGE

New Ranking: No. 11 EDGE, No. 110 overall

Quick Take: On3 was already high on LSU’s newest commitment, and now Shanklin moved up six spots in the overall rankings and one spot at the EDGE rusher position. With his combination of pass rush skills and elite run-stopping abilities, Shanklin’s stock will likely continue to rise.

JT Lindsey – 4-star RB

New Ranking: No. 11 RB, No. 163 overall

Quick Take: Lindsey looked sharp at LSU’s camp in June, and after a solid track showing in the spring that saw his rankings rise as a 4-star and Top 300 prospect back in February, the Louisiana native held firm as the No. 11 running back in the 2025 class. He also inched closer to fellow Louisiana 4-star running back and Texas commit James Simon, who slid back from No. 115 to No. 161 overall and is now the No. 10 running back in the class – just one spot ahead of Lindsey as both enter their senior seasons.

Charles Ross – 4-star LB

New Ranking: No. 17 LB, No. 183 overall

Quick Take: On3 was the first to rank Ross as a 4-star and Top 300 prospect, which came before LSU defensive coordinator Blake Baker jumped on the Houston native with his first SEC offer. Ross is LSU’s highest-ranked linebacker commit, and he stayed put as the No. 17 linebacker on On3 as he prepares for his senior year at North Shore.

TaRon Francis – 4-star WR

New Ranking: No. 29 WR, No. 194 overall

Quick Take: The highest-ranked wide receiver in Louisiana remains Francis, who popped early for the Tigers. With On3’s newest update to the On300, Francis moved from outside the Top 100 to No. 194 overall, and in turn moved inside the Top 30 wide receiver prospects in the 2025 class.

JD LaFleur – 4-star TE

New Ranking: No. 13 TE, No. 223 overall

Quick Take: LaFleur has great size at 6-foot-6.5, 235 pounds, and he will be a well-rounded tight end given his blocking and pass-catching abilities. LSU’s lone tight end commitment remained a Top 15 tight end prospect and well inside the On300.

Brandon Brown – 4-star DT

New Ranking: No. 27 DT, No. 291 overall

Quick Take: There was plenty of shuffling among the defensive tackles in the 2025 class, a group highlighted by LSU commit Zion Williams going from a 3-star to a Top 100 prospect. LSU also landed a commitment from Brown this past week, flipping the 4-star away from Texas. Brown stayed put in the On300, giving the Tigers two defensive tackles on the list.
