LSU-Army kickoff time, TV coverage revealed
LSU will take on Army on Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. CT for Homecoming on the SEC Network, the SEC announced on Monday. It’s the second time in history the two teams will meet.
The last time the programs met was in 1931 when Army beat LSU 20-0 at West Point. Currently, the Black Knights are 2-3 overall, fresh off a 27-24 loss to Boston College.
This weekend, LSU hosts Auburn in Tiger Stadium at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN for another SEC West matchup. The Black Knights host Troy at 2:30 p.m. CT on CBS Sports Network for Homecoming.
LSU went on the road last weekend and beat a Top 25 team in Missouri, 49-39, to move to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in SEC play. Head coach Brian Kelly praised the team’s efforts to put the loss to Ole Miss behind it and push forward.

“Proud of my football team,” Kelly said postgame. “It starts with our players and their ability to go out on the field and effect change from last week. They were much more physical. There’s certainly things we need to do better, but we were playing a really good football team.”
Quarterback Jayden Daniels and offensive lineman Emery Jones brought home honors from the SEC after their performances. Daniels nabbed another SEC Offensive Player of the Week honor while Jones was named the league’s top offensive lineman from Week 6.
LSU now plays five of their last six games at home with the lone road contest being at Alabama on Nov. 4.
