LSU Baseball flipped Vanderbilt Baseball commit and IMG Academy outfielder/infielder Dean Moss, he announced on Twitter.

The 6-0, 175-pound prospect is the No. 4 overall prospect for Baseball America. According to his Perfect Game scouting report from the 2023 Junior National Showcase, Moss is a stud for Jay Johnson and his staff to bring in.

“Dean Moss is a 2025 OF/IF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Atherton, CA who attends IMG Academy. Strong athletic build. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a calm and short shift into contact, swings hard and develops outstanding raw bat speed, ball comes off the barrel hard, looking to pull the ball but can make swing adjustments and hit to all fields. 6.78 runner in the sixty.

“Has polished and clean actions in the outfield, very smooth transitions and gets on top of his throws well for accurate, on line carry. Proven hitter who has made very impressive gains in his athleticism over the past year plus. Good student.”
