LSU commit Devin Harper jumps into Top 100 of On300
2025 Shreveport (La.) Calvary Baptist offensive lineman Devin Harper is one of the top offensive linemen in America and made a huge move up in the latest On300 revealed Monday.
He was the No. 208 overall prospect in the country, No. 14 interior offensive lineman and No. 5 prospect in Louisiana for On3. Now, he’s the No. 98 overall prospect in the country, No. 7 interior offensive lineman and remains the fifth-ranked prospect in Louisiana.
Last month, he committed to LSU fresh off another unofficial visit to Baton Rouge. He’ll be back next month to visit again, but the latest visit around Brian Kelly’s program sealed the deal.
“Saturday went great,” Harper said. “It was the first time my mother went with me to an LSU visit, and they impressed her. She loves (offensive line) Coach Brad Davis and Coach Brian Kelly. That was the big focus to get her on campus to meet them.”
“As far as me, the message is still I’m a priority, a huge priority, and LSU feels like my second house,” Harper added. “When I go there I’m very comfortable and feel like I’m around family with the whole staff.”

On3 director of scouting Charles Power likes what he sees so far.
“Devin Harper, think he’s violent at the point of attack,” Power said this fall of Harper. “Gets a strong push, moves well. I think we liked what we saw from him relative to the position. He’s a guy that projects on the inside, but wouldn’t be out of left field to maybe see him potentially be a swing tackle as well. I think he’s probably best on the inside. Like the movement skills on film and thought he was strong at the point of attack and a guy who plays with a physical edge.”
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Harper was ranked as the No. 156 overall prospect in the country, No. 7 interior offensive lineman and No. 3 prospect in Louisiana. Now, he’s the No. 110 overall prospect, No. 5 interior lineman and third-best prospect in Louisiana.
In-state LSU beat out Georgia, Florida State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and others for him.
