LSU commit Jaylen Bell locks in return visit to Baton Rouge

2025 Loganville (Ga.) Grayson defensive back and LSU commitment Jaylen Bell set his return visit to LSU, he told On3 late Thursday. Bell will visit LSU on July 28 for the Bayou Splash.
Bell was blown away by the trip to LSU in January, his first trip as a commitment. He always wanted to commit to LSU and he did just that on his birthday Nov. 26.
“The opportunity to get around the staff and to get around the players and to visualize myself as an actual student-athlete on campus,” Bell told On3 about what stood out. “I like the fact that I got to live the college life for a few hours. Nothing really surprised me, but it was good to see the general student body working out at the U-Rec.”
LSU head coach Brian Kelly met with Bell on the visit, who was impressed with Kelly’s first year at the helm of the program.

“Coach Kelly talked about being a leader, accountable and how he desires to graduate champions,” he said. “I like the fact he won 10 games his first year so he’s keeping the winning tradition going.”
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Bell ranks as the No. 387 overall prospect and No. 43 cornerback in the nation.
Programs like Minnesota, Missouri, UCF, Texas A&M, Arizona State and others entered the mix for Bell since his pledge to the Tigers. Bell is one of two 2025 commits on board for LSU, joining New Orleans (La.) Isidore Newman offensive lineman Brett Bordelon.
