LSU Football’s staff kicked off February 13 with some huge news as Louisiana 4-star offensive lineman and Top 100 prospect Brysten Martinez announced his commitment to the Tigers.

The Tigers landed a commit from a Top 10 OT in Louisiana’s Brysten Martinez, who checks in as a Top 5 prospect in Louisiana and Top 50 prospect nationally on the On3 Industry Rankings.

With commitment No. 6 in for LSU, the Tigers made a big jump on the 2026 On3 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings.

Now, LSU has a Top 3 recruiting class in college football – and the No. 1 class in the Southeastern Conference.

LSU (92.743) now trails only No. 1 Oregon (94.359) and No. 2 Southern Cal (93.226) in the rankings. The Ducks have commits in from 10 prospects, while the Trojans hold commits from nine prospects.

With the Tigers checking in at No. 3, the Top 5 recruiting classes in mid-February are rounded out by No. 4 Auburn (92.346) and No. 5 Texas A&M (92.288). Tennessee, Texas and Georgia give the SEC six of the Top 10 recruiting classes for the 2026 cycle – which is now picking up steam as staff’s prepare for February’s NCAA Recruiting Dead Period to come to an end before campus visits begin again in March.

Martinez is the sixth commitment for LSU’s 2026 class, joining five other Louisiana natives and becoming the second offensive line pledge, joining Warren Easton’s Jalan Chapman.

On3 ranks the 6-foot-5, 290-pounder as the No. 48 overall recruit in the 2026, No. 10 OT and No. 4 player in The Boot, which puts the talented offensive tackle prospect just behind fellow LSU commit and Edna Karr defensive lineman Richard Anderson and a pair of 5-stars Baton Rouge’s Lamar Brown and Blaine Bradford in the current Louisiana rankings for prospects around the state.

Martinez and Chapman are a pair of early offensive line commits, while the Tigers have also landed verbal commitments from two of Louisiana’s best wide receivers in 4-stars Kenny Darby out of Airline and Jakai Anderson out of McDonogh 35. Both finished as All-State selections during their junior seasons this past fall, with Darby leading all of Louisiana in receiving yards.

The other commitment in for LSU is from Edna Karr standout defensive back Aiden Hall, who is ranked by On3 as a Top 5 safety prospect in the 2026 class.

Five of LSU’s six commits are Top 300 prospects on the On3 Industry Rankings, and half the group – Martinez, Anderson and Hall – are ranked as a Top 50 prospects.
