LSU set to host UIC transfer wing Toby Okani for official visit
LSU will host UIC transfer wing Toby Okani for an official visit on April 19, a source told On3’s Joe Tipton on Friday. St. Bonaventure will host him April 1 and West Virginia will host him April 12.
The 6-8 wing averaged 11.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, two blocks and 1.5 steals. Only five other players averaged over two blocks and over one steal per game this season.
During the 2022-23 season, Okani started all 32 games for the Flames. He averaged 11 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 31.7 minutes per game.
Prior to UIC, he made 25 career starts in two seasons with Duquesne, including 15 in 2021-22. As a freshman, Okani saw action in all 18 games while making 10 starts.

LSU is looking to continue to upgrade its roster for the 2024-25 season under Matt McMahon. That got off to the right start with good news on Friday. Kansas State transfer guard Cam Carter, one of the top available guards in the transfer portal.
Carter averaged 14.6 points and five rebounds per game this season on a Kansas State team that made the NIT. He averaged an impressive 35.4 minutes per game as a very regular contributor.
