The LSU football staff is set to host recruits from around the country on Saturday.

With the NCAA’s dead period coming to an end, the Tigers are kicking off the month of March with a Junior Day event.

There are plenty of 2024 targets set to be on campus, and the list of underclassmen – like the nation’s top quarterback prospect for the 2025 cycle in Bryce Underwood – is an impressive one.

One of the most impressive group of visitors is LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis’ offensive line list, which includes both the top offensive tackle and top interior offensive lineman in the 2024 class.

Here’s the rundown on some of the most notable visitors from the group.

On3’s No. 1 OT is headed to Baton Rouge

Jonathan Daniels is the No. 1 offensive tackle in the country on the latest On3 rankings updates. He checks in as an early five-star prospect as the No. 9 overall recruit in the 2024 class.

Now, Daniels is using his first visit in the month of March to see LSU.

The Pensacola (Fla.) native has visited Florida State more than any other schools, and he’s set to return to Tallahassee on March 10. On3 National Recruiting Analyst Chad Simmons said Florida likely has the edge on Miami when it comes to the other top programs in the Sunshine State, but added that Daniels is wide open to all schools whether in Florida or outside the state. Daniels circled LSU as one of the teams that’s been in contact with him the most.

On3’s No. 1 IOL will also be on campus

Casey Poe landed as the No. 1 ranked interior offensive linemen in this week’s On3 Top 300 update, and he’s within five-star range as the No. 32 overall recruit in the country.

This weekend, Poe will also be on LSU’s campus when he kicks off the month of March with a trip to Baton Rouge.

The Lindale (Texas) four-star is one of LSU’s top targets when it comes to interior offensive linemen, and Poe has picked up attention from a number of teams around the country. Poe said Auburn, Texas Tech, Alabama, Baylor and more are among the teams keeping lines of communication open as staffs turn up the heat.

“It’s been a whirlwind,” he said. “It’s a long list.”

Another Top 20 interior prospect locks in LSU visit

Blake Frazier is currently ranked by On3 as the No. 19 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 class, putting him inside the Top 300 as one of the top recruits in the Lone Star State.

On Saturday, Frazier will be part of the offensive line group in Baton Rouge.

Frazier’s relationship with LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis dates back to this past summer when he camped with the staff in Baton Rouge.

“Every day, for sure, there’s multiple coaches saying, ‘Hey when can we get you on campus’ and I get it. I’m really excited to go to LSU,” Frazier told On3.

“I camped in June with Coach Davis and I loved him,” Frazier said. “He put time in specifically into coaching me. He talked ball with me. I was new to O-line and he made time for me and brought me aside. I had never played a down of varsity offensive line, so being there able to compete against some of those D-ends was cool, especially because I got to work on the field and beforehand with Coach Davis one on one.”

Michigan holds a big lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, but with new offers continuing to roll in, the coming months will be key when it comes to visits and teams jockeying for position.

Peach State OT heads to Baton Rouge with an LSU offer

Marcus Mascoll will be on campus this weekend as well, and like the aforementioned trio of prospects, he holds an offer from LSU’s staff.

Mascoll’s offered arrived in December, and the Tigers remain the lone SEC team to have offered the 6-foot-5, 297-pound offensive tackle.

“It was an incredible feeling and LSU is a school I dreamed of getting an offer from,” Mascoll told On3. “It’s a great school with great culture and I like the fan base they have up there as well. They were good and they shocked a lot of people especially with the SEC championship appearance.”

The South Gwinnett product could see his recruitment add more steam this offseason, but it’s clear the Tigers are in a good spot early on.

LSU OL commitment returns to campus

Brett Bordelon will be back on LSU’s campus this weekend after committing to the Tigers on December 20.

Bordelon, a New Orleans native, committed to LSU in December. The 2025 offensive lineman is the son of former LSU offensive lineman Ben Bordelon and the brother of current LSU offensive lineman Bo Bordelon.

Alabama and Georgia are among the other offers in for the Newman product.

An OT to watch for in Louisiana

Lamar Brown is one of the state’s top young prospects, and the University High starter already holds offers from LSU and Ole Miss despite just wrapping up his freshman season.

Brown is set to return to LSU’s football facilities for another visit on Saturday, giving the Tigers some top offensive line targets on campus for the 2024, 2025 and 2026 classes.

LSU holds the early edge on the On3 RPM for the Baton Rouge native.
